Biography

Since its inception in 2022, Kuru has meldedmodern hardcore and metal together, with an array of the many subgenres that came about from it.

As a band hailing from the northeast, their music started out on a 2 track split with Sacramento, CA hardcore outfit “Disperser” (April 20th, 2022). Followed by a good amount of local shows throughout the following year progressing and writing more music in order to release the debut Ep entitled “Kill Us Ruin Us” (Dec 23rd, 2023).

Two music videos for the singles “Serve” and “Palliative” made their way around social media and word of mouth. Weekend tours ensued and the group brought their new sound, to local venues , out of state bars, and places in the northeast region spanning into Virginia.

Kuru prepares to release their second EP entitled “Acrimony” (February 1st 2025) with the new single “Perish”.
